Innovation management

Today innovation does not happen in a vacuum. From a project inner core to the outside world, various communities discuss it, develop it, and evaluate it. How to make this co-design process happen in a consistent way, benefiting all stakeholders in the end? Answering this question is key to success. To help people reach this goal, I am currently developing an innovation consulting activity. Outcomes look bright and promising: keep in touch!

Great Green Open Web

Given the exponential growth of the Web, is its energy consumption sustainable? Beyond improvements in hardware, another solution is to design new kind of software that effectively reduce softwaste, that is waste in memory usage and processing cycles. The goal of this project is to investigate the client-side of the problem by providing a new add-on for Mozilla Firefox, to track and reduce softwaste when either navigating or building websites. Multilingual interfaces

This is a current personal project about an important issue: in a globalized world, people should speak more and more languages to be able to interact with each other. How to do this with computers, given the currently inadequate hardware and software interfaces? Those interfaces are enduring legacies of the typewriters of old, themselves an inheritance of the nineteenth century worldviews. More information will be posted on http://www.multilingualkeyboard.org/ in the coming months.

Directory of game middleware solutions

This is a past personal project. The goal was to achieve a complete recension of commercially available game middleware solutions, from physics engines to decisional artificial intelligence technologies for simulating non-player characters. This project is now undertaken by the European Games Developer Federation, in association with the Game Co-op Malmö (Sweden). For a thorough overview, you can have a look at http://www.gamemiddleware.org/ and its partners' websites.
